Ingredients

8 oz. spaghetti or egg noodles

6 cloves garlic, minced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for added depth)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sugar

2 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the noodles and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the garlic butter. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated. If the mixture is too dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Add Freshness and Flavor: Stir in chopped green onions and add red pepper flakes if you like a little heat. Toss to combine and cook for an additional minute until everything is heated through.

Serve: Transfer the garlic noodles to serving plates. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro for a pop of color and extra flavor.
