Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning mix

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup refried beans

1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/2 cup sour cream

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Salsa for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until it's cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

Add the taco seasoning mix along with the required water (according to package instruction) to the meat, stirring until well combined. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.

Unroll the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and lay them in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a crust.

Spread a layer of refried beans evenly over the crescent roll crust.

Spoon the seasoned meat mixture over the beans and spread it out evenly.

Scatter the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, and sliced black olives over the meat layer.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese generously on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Top with sour cream and fresh cilantro, if desired.

Serve hot with salsa on the side for dipping.
