8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

16 wonton wrappers

1 egg, beaten (for sealing)

1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. If desired, fold in the mini chocolate chips for added sweetness and texture.

    Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.

      Brush the edges of each wonton with the beaten egg to help seal them.

        Fold the wontons in half diagonally to form triangles, pressing the edges to seal tightly. You can also twist the corners to create a fun shape if desired.

          Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the wontons a few at a time, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

            Fry the wontons for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
