Ingredients

500g boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

1 tablespoon garam masala

1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)

Salt, to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 onion, finely chopped

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 cup canned crushed tomatoes

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons butter

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, chili powder, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Sauté Onions: In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Cook Chicken: Add the marinated chicken (along with the marinade) to the pan. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is no longer pink.

Add Tomato and Cream: Stir in the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes. Cook for another 5-7 minutes. Then, reduce the heat and add the heavy cream and butter. Stir well to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Garnish and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot with naan or rice.
