Ingredients

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons liquid red food coloring

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture. Mix until everything is well combined and you achieve a smooth, velvety batter.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.

Gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop tablespoon-sized mounds of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, lightly dust the cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
