Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup buttermilk

3 large eggs

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Mix Everything Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and finish with the dry ingredients. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Add the Fruits: Gently fold in the diced peaches and blackberries, being careful not to break the berries.

Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

Assemble the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture over the top.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
