Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup vanilla custard

1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)

1 box (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup crushed graham crackers

1/2 cup toasted coconut flakes

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for added flavor)

1/4 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling on top)

Instructions

Prepare the Pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

Combine the Custard and Whipped Cream: In another bowl, carefully fold the vanilla custard with the whipped cream until well combined and fluffy.

Layer the Ingredients: In a large trifle dish or individual serving cups, start layering the ingredients. Begin with a layer of crushed graham crackers, followed by a layer of the prepared pudding, a layer of banana slices, and then a layer of the custard-whipped cream mixture.

Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process: graham crackers, pudding, bananas, and the custard-whipped cream mixture until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of the custard-whipped cream on the top.

Add the Twist: Sprinkle the top layer with toasted coconut flakes and mini chocolate chips for an extra crunch and flavor. Drizzle with caramel sauce.

Chill and Serve: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or overnight, preferably) to allow all the flavors to meld together.

Garnish (optional): Just before serving, add a few fresh banana slices on top for decoration and an additional drizzle of caramel sauce for a visual delight.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours (plus chilling) | Servings: 8-10
