Mozzarella cheese, known for its mild flavor and stretchy texture, is a staple in many Italian dishes. Its creamy richness complements the spicy, savory notes of pepperoni, creating a harmonious blend that tantalizes the taste buds. When melted, mozzarella becomes an indulgent experience, providing a gooey filling that contrasts beautifully with the flaky croissant outside. The combination of these two beloved ingredients makes for a bite that is both comforting and satisfying.

Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into 8 triangles.

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, sliced pepperoni, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine.

Place a generous spoonful of the filling mixture at the wide end of each crescent triangle.

Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly around the filling, rolling towards the point to form a croissant shape.

Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops with the beaten egg to achieve a golden brown color when baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the croissants are puffed and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
