Ingredients

8 slices of white bread or brioche

6 ounces sliced turkey breast

6 ounces sliced ham

6 ounces sliced Swiss cheese

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Salt and pepper to taste

Butter for frying

Powdered sugar for dusting

Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

Assemble the Sandwich: Take 4 slices of bread and layer each with slices of turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese. Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread to form 4 sandwiches.

Make the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

Preheat the Pan: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the bottom.

Dip the Sandwiches: Carefully dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated but not overly soggy.

Fry the Sandwiches: Place the dipped sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they're golden brown and the cheese has melted. Add more butter as needed.

Slice and Serve: Remove the sandwiches from the pan and let them rest for a minute. Cut them in half diagonally and dust with powdered sugar.

Drizzle with Maple Syrup: Serve warm with a side of maple syrup for dipping.
