2 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

½ cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

      Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until everything is well incorporated.

        Add Boiling Water: Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth (the batter will be thin—this is normal).

          Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips to the batter, distributing them evenly.

            Pour Batter into Pans: Divide the batter equally between the prepared cake pans.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
