Ingredients

8 slices of challah or brioche bread, cut into 2-inch squares

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

2 tablespoons butter

Maple syrup, for serving

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.

Dip each square of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for about 15 seconds on each side. Ensure it's well-coated but not overly soggy.

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Place the soaked bread squares in the skillet in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the cooked French toast bites and keep warm.

Add the remaining butter to the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining bread squares.

Once all the French toast bites are cooked, arrange them on a serving platter.

Top with fresh sliced strawberries and drizzle with syrup. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar for a touch of sweetness.

Serve immediately and enjoy your delightful mini strawberry French toast!
