Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained and chopped)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

Extra basil leaves and Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sauté for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add Cream & Broth: Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cheesy Goodness: Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Cook the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine Everything: Slice the cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss well to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated.

Finish with Freshness: Fold in the chopped basil leaves just before serving for a burst of flavor.

Serve: Plate the Marry Me Chicken Pasta and garnish with additional basil leaves and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
