Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

½ cup warm milk (110°F)

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup pumpkin puree

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon ground ginger

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Maple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1-2 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and salt. Add the yeast mixture once it’s frothy.

        - Mix until combined and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

          Make the Filling:

            - In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and softened butter until well combined.

              Roll Out the Dough:

                - Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle, approximately 16x24 inches.

                  - Spread the filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

                    Shape the Rolls:

                      - Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal and cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

                        - Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, cut side up. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

                          Bake:

                            - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

                              Prepare the Maple Glaze:

                                - While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Add milk gradually until you reach your desired glaze consistency.

                                  Glaze the Rolls:

                                    - After baking, allow the rolls to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before drizzling the maple glaze over the top.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Serve warm, and enjoy your delightful Maple-Glazed Pumpkin Spice Rolls!
