Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef (or ground pork)

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

2 green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 egg

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust based on spice preference)

For the Spicy Mayo Dip:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (or to taste)

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon lime juice

Optional: a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Meatball Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or pork), breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until just combined; be careful not to over-mix.

      Shape the Meatballs:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using your hands, scoop out a tablespoon of meat mixture and roll it into a ball. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.

          Bake the Meatballs:

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.

              Prepare the Spicy Mayo Dip:

While the meatballs are baking, prepare the dip. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, Sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and lime juice. Adjust the Sriracha to your desired spice level.

                  Serve:

Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with the spicy mayo dip on the side. Optionally, garnish the dip with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for a decorative touch.
