Ingredients

2 cups apple cider

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

½ cup whole milk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Reduce the Apple Cider: In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of apple cider to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and let it simmer until it's reduced to about ¾ cup, around 15 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray or oil.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and the reduced apple cider. Whisk until smooth.

Mix Together: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Fill the Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.

Bake the Donuts: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The donuts should be slightly golden.

Cool Down: Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Dust with Sugar: Once cooled, dust the donuts with powdered sugar or toss them in a mix of cinnamon and sugar for extra flavor!

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your irresistible apple cider donuts warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the flavors of fall!
