Ingredients

For the Hibachi Steak Bites:

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch piece of ginger, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

For the Fried Rice:

4 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Steak Marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Add the steak pieces to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour for flavor enhancement.

Cook the Fried Rice: In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until tender. Push the veggies to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked.

Combine the Rice: Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing everything together. Pour soy sauce and oyster sauce over the rice, stirring until the rice is evenly coated in the sauces. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Set aside.

Cook the Hibachi Steak Bites: In a large skillet or grill pan, heat a drizzle of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak bites in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: On a large serving plate, arrange the fried rice as the base. Top with the hibachi steak bites, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve immediately.
