Ingredients

4 large cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade)

4 large eggs

1 cup milk (whole or almond)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup maple syrup (plus extra for serving)

Butter (for greasing the pan)

Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Fresh berries (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: If using store-bought cinnamon rolls, bake according to package instructions. Once baked, allow them to cool slightly before cutting each roll into quarters. If homemade, proceed as normal and let them cool.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1/4 cup of maple syrup until well combined.

Soak the Cinnamon Rolls: Dip each quarter of the cinnamon rolls into the egg mixture, allowing them to soak for about 30 seconds on each side to absorb the flavors.

Cook the French Toast: In a large skillet, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Once the butter starts to foam, add the soaked cinnamon roll pieces in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Repeat Cooking: Add more butter as needed, and continue cooking the remaining cinnamon roll pieces in batches until all are cooked.

Serve: Plate the fluffy cinnamon roll French toast and drizzle with extra maple syrup. Dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh berries if desired.
