Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Sauté the Mushrooms: Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms are soft and slightly browned.

Create the Sauce: Sprinkle the flour over the meat and vegetable mixture, stirring to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring, followed by the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Incorporate the Sour Cream: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together until the noodles are fully coated with the stroganoff sauce.

Serve: Plate the stroganoff and garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Enjoy your meal warm!
