Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon instant yeast

1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Extra cheese and bacon for topping (optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.

Pour in the warm milk and melted butter, stirring until a dough begins to form.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it's smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, then add the crumbled bacon on top.

Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log shape, then pinch the edges to seal.

Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.

Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise again for about 30 minutes, until puffy.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg for a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle extra cheese and bacon on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cheese is bubbling.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
