Ingredients

1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed

1/2 cup cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1 to 1.5 inches each.

Coat the Salmon: In a medium bowl, mix the cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the salmon cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

Fry the Salmon: Carefully add the coated salmon bites to the skillet in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove the bites from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Glaze the Salmon: Once the salmon bites are fried and crispy, pour the honey garlic sauce over them in the skillet, gently tossing to coat the salmon evenly.

Serve: Transfer the glazed salmon bites to a serving platter, and garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
