Ingredients

1 pound (450g) breakfast sausage (spicy or mild, based on preference)

8 ounces (225g) cream cheese, softened

2 cups (200g) shredded cheddar cheese

1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

½ cup (120ml) milk

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Merge Meats & Cream: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and breakfast sausage. Use your hands to thoroughly mix until well combined.

Add Cheddar: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Gradually add this dry mix to the sausage and cheese mixture, stirring to combine.

Add Milk: Pour in the milk and mix until a cohesive dough forms.

Shape Balls: Using your hands, form the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!
