Ingredients

1 loaf sourdough bread (preferably round or oval)

1 cup fresh cranberries (or ½ cup dried cranberries)

8 oz Brie cheese

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Prepare the Bread:

      - Using a serrated knife, cut deep slices into the sourdough loaf, creating a crosshatch pattern. Make sure not to cut all the way through the bottom to keep the loaf intact.

        Make the Filling:

          - In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, chopped rosemary, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.

            - If using fresh cranberries, wash and dry them. If using dried cranberries, chop them coarsely.

              Assemble the Bread:

                - Gently spread the butter mixture between the cuts in the bread, ensuring it seeps into each crevice.

                  - Insert small pieces of Brie cheese into the cuts of the bread, interspersing them with cranberries and nuts if desired.

                    Bake:

                      - Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.

                        - Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.

                          Serve and Garnish:

                            - Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

                              - Serve warm, pulling apart the pieces of the bread to enjoy the gooey Brie and tart cranberries.
