Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup crab meat, cooked and chopped

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (optional)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

1 package mozzarella string cheese sticks

1 package wonton wrappers

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2 large eggs, beaten

Oil, for frying

Sweet chili sauce, for dipping

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped crab meat, green onions, cilantro (if using), garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Mix well until smooth and well incorporated.

Assemble the Sticks: Take a wonton wrapper and place a small amount of the cream cheese-crab filling in the center (about a tablespoon). Place a mozzarella stick on top of the filling. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the cheese and then roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Coat the Sticks: Set up a breading station with the beaten eggs in one bowl and panko breadcrumbs in another. Dip each rolled crab rangoon stick into the egg mixture, then coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat. Test the oil by dropping in a few crumbs; they should sizzle immediately.

Fry the Sticks: Carefully add the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks to the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Once cooked, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serve: Serve the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks hot with a side of sweet chili sauce for dipping.
