Ingredients

1 pound chicken breast, boneless and skinless

4 slices ham (smoked or honey, your choice)

4 slices Swiss cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended for extra crunch)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

12 slider buns

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup mayonnaise

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Chicken: Slice the chicken breast horizontally to create 4 even pieces. Place each piece between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to a uniform thickness of about 1/2 inch. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Stuff the Chicken: On each piece of chicken, layer a slice of ham and then a slice of Swiss cheese. Fold the chicken over to create a pocket, securing it with toothpicks if necessary.

Breading Station: Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls. Place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and panko breadcrumbs in the third.

Coat the Chicken: Dredge each stuffed chicken piece in flour, shake off the excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, followed by coating it in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the breading is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C). Remove from skillet and place on a baking sheet.

Bake the Chicken: Transfer the browned chicken to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes to melt the cheese and ensure the chicken is fully cooked.

Prepare the Sliders: While the chicken is baking, you can prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard and mayonnaise together until well combined.

Assemble Sliders: Once the chicken is ready, slice the slider buns in half. Spread the mustard-mayo mixture on both sides of the buns. Place a piece of chicken on each bottom half, top with the other half of the bun.

Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. Enjoy your Chicken Cordon Bleu Sliders with your favorite dipping sauce or sides!
