Ingredients

1 cup ground beef or turkey

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

½ cup refried beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 package of refrigerated pizza dough

1 small can of sliced green olives (optional)

1 small red onion, finely chopped (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Taco sauce, for dipping

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning. Add in refried beans and mix until combined. Remove from heat.

Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Use a pizza cutter to slice the dough into strips (about 3 inches wide).

Fill Strips: Place a spoonful of the meat mixture along one edge of each dough strip. Add a sprinkle of both cheeses, some sliced green olives, and chopped red onion if using.

Roll Up: Carefully roll each stick tightly, starting from the edge with the filling. Ensure the filling stays inside while rolling.

Egg Wash: Place the rolled sticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with taco sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
