Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)

2 ripe pears, peeled, halved, and sliced thinly

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Honey for drizzling (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit your tart pan, then place it in the pan and prick the bottom with a fork. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbling.

Add the sliced pears to the skillet, tossing to coat in the caramel mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the pears are tender and caramelized, stirring occasionally.

Season with salt and pepper, and if desired, add the chopped walnuts for additional crunch.

Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator. Pour the caramelized pears into the pastry shell, spreading them evenly.

Crumble the blue cheese over the top of the pears.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cheese is slightly melted.

Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh thyme leaves and a drizzle of honey if desired.

Slice and serve warm or at room temperature, enjoying the harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors.
