Ingredients

2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 can (8 oz) crescent dough

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg (for egg wash)

Cooking spray

Optional: powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Prep the Apples: Peel, core, and dice the apples into small pieces. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the apples, and let sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Prepare the Crescent Dough: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.

Fill the Bombs: Place a tablespoon of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle of dough. Roll the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end, and pinch the ends to seal the apple filling inside. Make sure there are no openings.

Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl. Use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash over the tops of the apple pie bombs for a golden finish.

Air Frying: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the apple pie bombs in a single layer, leaving space between them. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

Serve: Carefully remove the bombs from the air fryer. If desired, drizzle with granulated sugar mixed with vanilla extract or dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy them warm for the best experience!
